Glass Leaders Learn from New York’s Finest about Hate Crimes and Intelligence

  • January 29, 2014

On January 14, 2014, the New York Region Glass Leadership Institute held its annual session with the New York Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force to discuss its critical role and their partnership with ADL on combating hate and identifying hate crime perpetrators and extremists.

The evening began with greetings from newly appointed Commissioner William Bratton, followed by a presentation on domestic extremism threats by Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence John Miller. The leaders then heard from Deputy Chief Michael Osgood, the commander of the NYPD’s Special Victims Division and its Hate Crimes Task Force on determining a hate crime and the NYPD’s ongoing work to ensure that New Yorkers are protected and able to live freely and securely.

The Glass Leadership Institute is ADL’s premier leadership institute for a select group of young professionals with an up-close and personal opportunity to expand their knowledge of ADL and its mission.
