ADL Offers 5K Reward Following Antisemitic Attack In Brooklyn

  • December 3, 2021

New York, NY, December 3, 2021 … ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) has announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for an apparent antisemitic attack that occurred last month in Brooklyn.

According to the NYPD and other reports, the attack took place around 11:30 a.m. on November 3rd. A 33-year-old Jewish woman was walking at the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, when an unidentified man threw liquid in her face and said, “You people are disgusting,” before fleeing the scene.

“We are horrified by this apparent hate-motivated attack on a Jewish woman in Brooklyn,” said Scott Richman, ADL NY/NJ Regional Director. “We are witnessing continued attacks against Jewish individuals in Brooklyn, a disturbing trend that has deeply impacted the community. We want New Yorkers to know that these acts will not be tolerated or ignored. There are often witnesses to these incidents, and we hope that this reward will prompt them to come forward with information that will aid the investigation and ultimately help bring closure to the community.”

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating and asking anyone with information to call NYPD crime stoppers at 1 800 577 TIPS.
