ADL’s Summer Associate Research Program (SARP) provides law firms the opportunity to assist ADL with legal research on important civil rights issues while exposing emerging attorneys to ADL’s mission and the importance of pro bono work.

Over the past several years more than 100 firms and over 600 summer associates have participated in the program, writing thought-provoking memos on critical ADL issues. SARP has become a tradition throughout the national legal community, and firms and participants alike find tremendous value in exploring topics that are interesting, timely and exciting.

In 2019 the New York/New Jersey Region held our sixth annual SARP Memo Competition. All memos submitted will be entered in the Memo Competition and reviewed by a panel of judges from ADL’s Lawyers Division and other New York and New Jersey legal leaders. The winning summer associate(s) and firm(s) will receive an award and be recognized by ADL at the Annual New York/New Jersey Human Relations Awards Luncheon.
