New York, NY, January 30, 2019 … ADL (Anti-Defamation League) announced today that it is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the alleged assault of a Jewish man in Crown Heights, Brooklyn Tuesday evening.
According to police and other reports, the incident allegedly involved a group of three individuals who pushed the victim to the pavement and continued to punch and kick him while he was on the ground.
“We are sickened by this horrific violence, and increasingly alarmed by rising tensions in the community in the wake of similar incidents,” said Evan R. Bernstein, Regional Director of ADL New York / New Jersey. “These crimes are unacceptable, and they must stop. We must work together to stem the tide of anti-Semitic violence in Brooklyn.”
“We hope this reward facilitates the swift apprehension of those responsible, and we thank the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force for investigating.”
