The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) announced the appointment of Evan R. Bernstein as Director of the League’s New York Regional Office.
Mr. Bernstein joins ADL with extensive experience in operations, development and leadership at several major Jewish and Israeli communal organizations. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director for the American Friends of Midgal Ohr and previously was National Director of Development for the Boston-based David Project Center for Jewish Leadership. Mr. Bernstein also held a managerial role at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, where he ran the organization’s state operations in Arizona.
“Evan brings to ADL more than 15 years of not-for-profit experience in the Jewish community and has been involved in many facets of charitable organizational work,” said Gregg M. Mashberg, ADL New York Regional Board Chair. “With its size and diversity, New York remains a central focus of ADL’s mission to fight anti-Semitism, bigotry and hate, and we are confident that Evan will carry out this mission as we embark on our second century.”
“We are delighted to have Evan lead our New York regional office,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “His impressive professional background, deep commitment to the Jewish people and passion for Israel are tremendous assets.”
