TAKE ACTION NOW: FEDERAL INITIATIVE

–  CALL ON CONGRESS TO SUPPORT NONPROFITS
In times of crisis, nonprofits are on the frontlines, serving communities across the nation. Join ADL as we call on Congress to include financial support for nonprofit organizations in their COVID-19 stimulus packages.

We are urging Congress to include $60 billion of emergency relief for social service organizations and other nonprofits.

Without dramatic and immediate financial support from our government, the people we serve will face a sharp reduction in mission-critical services at a time when nonprofit support is needed more than ever before.

Time is of the essence. Please use ADL’s petition to contact Congress today.

TAKE ACTION NOW: LOCAL INITIATIVES

  THANK THE HELPERS
Please join ADL in showing our gratitude and support for the COVID-19 frontline workers, including but not limited to: community service workers, first responders, healthcare workers, law enforcement officials, scientists, and all other essential service workers and helpers assisting our communities.

–  HELP MAKE NEW YORK NO PLACE FOR HATE
Please contact your representative in the New York State Senate and Assembly, and ask them to support Governor Cuomo’s “No Hate In Our State” campaign

We are seeing a dramatic increase in incidents of antisemitism and hate in New York and across the country. Already this year, New York State Police have responded to 52 hate crimes, an increase of 45% relative to last year. In recent weeks, we have seen a surge in anti-Asian hate crimes and incidents arising from fear-mongering and scapegoating surrounding COVID-19.

Ask Congress to invest $25 million for religious not-for-profit organizations vulnerable to hate crimes, allocate $2 million to support the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force, and create an education curriculum on diversity and tolerance for students in New York.

Join ADL in sending a clear message New York is #NoPlaceForHate. Please use ADL’s petition to contact your elected representatives before April 1, 2020.
