ADL Reports on Troubling Israel-Related Statements from Left-Wing Candidates While criticism of Israel is part of a healthy political ecosystem. a segment of the left sometimes espouses ideas that go beyond legitimate critique and into antisemitic tropes. Others engage in rhetoric that is not antisemitic but which can have the effect of making many Jews feel ostracized or excluded.
This newly formed Activist Group is focused on strengthening ADL’s local presence and community impact. Working closely with ADL’s regional team, participants will work to develop engagement opportunities, build partnerships, and implement educational programming throughout New York City. Since 1979, we have published this information in an annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents. Antisemitic incidents tracked in the 2021 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents reached an all-time high of 2,717 in the United States last year – an average of more than seven incidents
