March 2014: ADL New York hosted a special panel with fantastic educators who all participated in ADL’s unique interfaith/intergroup initiatives during 2013. Panelists attended Bearing Witness, ADL’s annual conference on Holocaust education for Catholic school educators, and Building Bridges/Connecting Classrooms, a one-day seminar designed for Jewish and Muslim educators together to learn about presenting each other’s faiths in the classroom. Panelists spoke to ADL’s Glass Leadership Institute [GLI], our premier national young leadership development program. GLI is comprised of nine sessions over the academic year that each focus on different aspects of ADL’s work. Founded in 1997, GLI aims to build a base of leaders who, knowledgeable about ADL’s work and committed to ensuring its vitality, will be effective advocates on behalf of ADL in their communities.
