New York, NY, February 11, 2016 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today raised to $10,000 its reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator who stabbed Yehuda Brikman in Crown Heights, Brooklyn on February 10.

The reward was bolstered with a funding commitment from a concerned member of the community.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the possibility that the stabbing was motivated by the victim’s traditional Jewish appearance. In the wake of the incident, ADL expressed concern over a pattern of anti-Semitic assaults that have taken place in Brooklyn over the past several months.

“Our community wants nothing more than to see the perpetrator of this shocking crime brought to justice,” said Evan R. Bernstein, ADL New York Director. “We hope that the additional reward will assist law enforcement with their grim task of apprehending whoever is responsible and that ultimately, nobody in New York should be fearful of walking in their own neighborhood.”

ADL has documented at least a dozen alleged anti-Semitic incidents in New York City since September 2015.
