The 20th annual Edward Brodsky Legal Conference – American Democracy in the 21st Century: Voting Rights, Redistricting and Campaign Finance, will be held on Tuesday March 11th at 6 PM at the Times Center in New York City. This year’s panel will wrestle with the significant changes to voting rights, redistricting and campaign finance – and what they mean to American democracy. Through the generosity of the Edward Brodsky Endowment Fund, the Conference is free of charge and provides 2.0 CLE credits to legal practitioners. This year we will also be live-streaming the Edward Brodsky Legal Conference, for those that cannot attend in person.
The Edward Brodsky Legal Conference is generously supported by Cynthia Brodsky in memory of her late husband, Edward Brodsky. Edward, a distinguished lawyer and a Senior Partner with Proskauer Rose, believed that the law is a vehicle for civil rights, social justice, and peaceful conflict resolution. This led him to co-found the ADL’s Lawyers Division and to serve as a founding Chair of the annual ADL Legal Conference, which, after his death, was renamed for him. In addition to the Conference, the Brodsky family endowment supports the annual Edward Brodsky Legal Internship Program and training for the NYC Law Department.
Space is limited and to register or make a contribution to support the fund, visit http://nynj.adl.org/event/brodsky2014.
