Shifting demographics are reshaping American politics and potentially affecting U.S. public opinion toward Israel in the aftermath of the presidential election in November 2012. Cameron S. Brown, Neubauer Research Fellow at Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies and columnist for the Jerusalem Post, presented such possible challenges for the longstanding, solid, bipartisan support for Israel in U.S. public opinion to an audience of ADL supporters on May 23, 2013. Mr. Brown highlighted these trends in U.S. public opinion toward Israel, including partisan and generational gaps in support for Israel, the implications of a growing Latino population, and American Jewry’s changing face.
This event was sponsored by ADL’s International Affairs Committee, co-chaired by New York Regional Board members Jaime Grodzicki and Steven W. Rabitz.
