(New York, NY – August 25, 2023) – In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, a delegation of more than 150 leaders from the ADL New York/New Jersey Region will journey to Washington, D.C. The event, scheduled for August 26, will bring together advocates from various organizations dedicated to civil rights and justice.
ADL New York/New Jersey Region takes pride in co-chairing this momentous occasion alongside esteemed partners such as the King Family, the Drum Major Institute, the National Action Network, NAACP, NUL, LCCHR, Lawyers Committee, NAACP LDF, NCNW, The National Coalition, Unidos, AAJC, HRC, and many others. Together, they will march, protest, and raise their voices against all manifestations of hatred.
Leading the ADL New York/New Jersey Region delegation will be Scott Richman, the Regional Director. Richman is available for interviews, offering insights into ADL’s role in this historic event and providing context and perspective on the motivations behind the participation of over 150 leaders who are journeying to Washington, D.C. to contribute to this pivotal moment.
