Jaime Grodzicki & Steven W. Rabitz, Co-Chairs of ADL’s International Affairs Committee, invite you to a special briefing on:
“Sustaining American Public Support for Israel”
with Cameron Brown, Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies
Shifting demographics are reshaping American politics and US public opinion toward Israel. Pundits pointed to shifting demographics as making the critical difference in the re-election of President Obama this past fall. Such demographic and social trends present challenges for the longstanding, solid, bipartisan support for Israel in U.S. public opinion—a critical pillar of the US-Israel relationship. Cameron S. Brown, Neubauer Research Fellow at Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies and columnist for the Jerusalem Post, will discuss such recent trends—the partisan and generational gaps in support for Israel, the decline in religiosity, the rise of Latinos, and American Jewry’s changing face – and assess how each is affecting US public opinion toward Israel.
