More than 500 leaders in the home furnishings industry came together for ADL’s American Heritage Awards Tribute and Dinner Dance on June 19 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. This annual event of the National Home Furnishings Industry paid tribute to Neil Zimmer, Vice President and General Merchandising Manager of Sleepy’s, and Kevin O’Connor, President and CEO of Samson Marketing.
The guests were addressed by Martin O’Malley, Governor of the State of Maryland, and helped spread awareness of ADL’s vital work to a larger audience.
The Industry is chaired by Neil Goldberg (Raymour & Flanigan), Norman Waxman (Norman Waxman, LLC) and Joe Laneve (Bloomingdale’s) along with Vice Chairs Gary Fazio (Serta/Simmons) and Kurt Darrow (La-Z-Boy). Proceeds from the event help ADL in its fight against anti-Semitism bigotry, and all forms of prejudice.
