On December 6, 2017, the ADL New York Lawyers Division hosted the 23rd Annual Human Relations Award Luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street. Over 300 attendees from the law, business and philanthropic community joined ADL as we honored two exceptional members of the legal community who are also strong advocates of ADL’s mission. We proudly presented the Human Relations Award to Michael Cardozo, Partner, Proskauer Rose LLP and Lauren Goldberg, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at VEREIT, Inc. ADL New York is extremely grateful for Michael and Lauren’s tireless efforts to help ADL combat hate in all forms. ADL New York Regional Director, Evan Bernstein and ADL Vice President of Programs, George Selim provided updates and insights into ADL’s current work. ADL was extremely honored to be joined by keynote speaker, Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer. Mayor Signer inspired attendees with an uplifting message of hope that our country will unite to overcome hate. “A country’s worth of education and awareness has to be done. But we can do this. I remain after all of this, an optimist,” said Mayor Signer. Thank you again to ADL NY Regional Board Chair Jason Halper, Board Vice Chair Steve Fineman, and ADL NY Lawyers Division Co-Chairs Alan Klinger and Gregg Weiner for their continued support and efforts on behalf of ADL New York. A very special thank you to our Human Relations Awards Luncheon Tribute Co-Chairs Gregg M. Mashberg, Gary Naftalis, Kenneth Plevan, Mark Racanelli and Michael Schachter for making this event such a success!
