2024 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents

There were 9,354 incidents of antisemitic assault, harassment and vandalism across the country in 2024, according to ADL’s (the Anti-Defamation League) annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents. This total represents a 5 percent increase from 2023 (already a record-setting year) and is the highest level recorded since ADL started tracking this data in 1979. Reported incidents in New York and New Jersey remained at record highs in 2024. In New York, reported antisemitic incidents in 2024 rose by 18 percent, reaching 1,437 total incidents – the highest number recorded in any state across the country last year. In New Jersey, reported antisemitic incidents in 2024 fell by 13 percent to 719 total incidents – the third-highest number recorded in any state across the country last year and second-highest number ever recorded in the state.
