Take Action Lesson Plans
NPFH Take Action Lesson #1: Walk Against Hate: National and virtual for the first time, this event brings together communities from across the country. Together, we will recognize the impactful “steps” you took to support No Place for Hate’s vital work. Once you register, you will be given a toolkit of resources to help you make this a NPFH Activity.
NPFH Take Action Lesson #2: (Virtual) School Board: A school board is a body that oversees and manages a school district’s affairs, personnel, and properties. As a governing body, they should hear from their representatives, the members of the school community.
NPFH Take Action Lesson #3: Get Out and Vote! For High School students: Although some of our students may not be able to vote yet, it is crucial to discuss the importance of voting and how it impacts their life.
NPFH Take Action Lesson #4: Respectfully Celebrating Diversity Months: If celebrated properly, celebratory months serve as great opportunities to reflect, learn, and share the voices and experiences of underrepresented groups. At the same time, it begs to question, why do we only have these specific identity group conversations one month out of the year?
NPFH Take Action Lesson #5: Taking Responsibility in Sustainability: Climate change is a global issue that effects everyone but disproportionately affects various communities through the frequency of natural disasters, accessibility to food and clean water, etc. It is our responsibility to address the systemic issues contributing to climate change on an individual, community, and societal level.
