On Friday, July 3rd, Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte met with Evan Bernstein, ADL New York Regional Director and Etzion Neuer, Director of Community Service & Policy. The meeting, held at Assemblymember Bichotte’s district office in Brooklyn, was a thoughtful discussion which touched on a broad range of issues including civil rights in New York and abroad, the Parental Choice in Education Act, and building bridges between diverse communities. The meeting also focused on the work being done by ADL in Assemblymember Bichotte’s district. We discussed educational initiatives such as No Place for Hate® which creates inclusive communities and empower schools to challenge all forms of bigotry. We hope to work with Assemblymember Bichotte and her staff in the near future on getting more schools involved with No Place for Hate®.
