The 2016 Human Relations Award Dinner Celebrates Inspiring Leaders in the New York Legal Community

  • November 18, 2016

On November 17, 2016 ADL New York Region held its signature Lawyers Division event, the Human Relations Award Dinner, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.  The evening was a huge success, and we sincerely thank Board Chair Andy Frackman and the ADL New York Lawyers Division for all their help and leadership with this special event.

We proudly honored Daniel J. Kramer, Partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Gerson16 A. Zweifach, Senior Executive Vice President and Group General Counsel, 21st Century Fox and presented long time ADL leader Robert J. Jossen with the Edward Brodsky Founder’s Award.

Event attendees were also graced with guest speaker, Megan Phelps Roper who spoke of her journey from being on the frontlines of expressing extreme hate rhetoric by the Westboro Baptist Church to being an advocate who opposes hate speech and discrimination against Jews, the LGBT community, members of the military and others who have been singled out by the institution.11

Yesterday evening as Gerson A. Zweifach accepted this year’s Human Relations Award he said that “ADL always stands up, but they cannot stand up alone.” With all that is transpiring we at the ADL need the community’s support now more than ever and our New York Regional team couldnot be more grateful for all of your continued generosity and support. We truly could not do all that we do without all of you.
