Antisemitism in NYC 2021: What’s Really Happening?

October 4, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Reports of increased antisemitic harassment, vandalism, and violence in this country have members of the Jewish community concerned. What is really going on? And what can we do about it? This program will provide a clearer understanding of antisemitic incidents in New York City, how they connect to other forms of hate, our city’s response, and how you can take action. Moderated by Andrew Silow-Caroll, editor-in-chief, The New York Jewish Week, with Deborah Lauter, executive director of the Mayor’s Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes; Scott Richman, regional director, ADL NY/NJ; and Leo Ferguson, of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice. Hosted in partnership with the New York Jewish Agenda (NYJA) and The Center for Jewish Living. Co-sponsored by B’nai Jeshurun and SAJ – Judaism that Stands for All.

Session will take place online over Zoom. Please register in advance and the program link and password will be included in your confirmation email. Closed Captioning is available on Zoom to increase the accessibility of this program.
